Merchant Account Authorization Response

An authorization response is an electronic message that is sent from an acquiring bank or third-party processor to a merchant’s credit card equipment or gateway. An authorization response notifies the merchant if the transaction in question is approved, declined, or if more information is required to complete the transaction.
