Merchant Account Early Termination Fee

An early termination fee is a fee that is charged to a merchant by the merchant service provider as a penalty for closure of a merchant account prior to the expiration of the Merchant Processing Agreement (MPA).

The penalty charge that you will have to pay to your merchant service provider if you cancel your merchant account before the term of the merchant account agreement expires. Most merchant account early cancellation fees are $100 of more.
