Reprogramming Fee

A reprogramming fee is charged by a merchant service provider when they must download a new processing program on to a terminal that a merchant already owns.

Many merchant service providers do not charge a reprogramming fee, and many that do will be willing to lower or waive it in order to remain competitive against other providers.
