Statement Fee

The statement fee is a flat monthly charge that is unaffected by processing volume. The charge for a statement fee typically ranges anywhere from $3 to $10.

It is often possible to have a statement fee reduced on both new and existing merchant accounts. However, some providers are responsible for paying a statement fee to their processor or acquiring bank regardless of whether it is charged to the merchant. Be wary of merchant service providers that are willing to waive monthly statement fees. These providers may very well be making up the difference elsewhere in the form of other fees.
