DBA - Doing Business As
The name under which a professional entity conducts business operations or for which it is publicly know to the vast majority of its target market. DBA names are a compliment to a business’s legal name or name under which the business is legally structure and under which it files taxes. For example, a company that sells pet food may be doing business as (DBA) ‘Yummy Treats’ while the company’s name is ABC, Incorporated.
